It is above average temperatures for a few days, but I think its meant to cool down a bit after the weekend.  If you are ready to fleece and earth up, you could try a few.

It depends on your soil as well.  Mine is heavy clay and isn't really at planting stage yet.  If yours is lighter, you may be fine. The old boys usually know what they are up to  :D

Until the soil temperature at the depth you will plant reaches 10 degrees C the potatoes will just sit there and do nothing. Most days the air is only about 10 degrees. A cloche will help. A soil thermometer is good but if you stick your fingers in the soil and find that it is too cold to leave them there very long it is too cold Some time now Spring will arrive. You will instinctively know when it does.

Plants are definitely growing away here, so planted potatoes will decide if it is warm enough to grow, as well.
Volunteers found while digging are certainly moving.

They will come to no harm underground, the thing to worry about is when they get above soil level. So, as already said - be prepared to protect them from frost when necessary.
