are under my chicken coop about all the time and also see one trying to dig into my mummy and 2 chicks, have put traps down last 2 weeks caught nothing what the best thing to get rid of them please? and on the traps what they go for please help me

Get the Rat Man in (Pest Control) Rats carry 'nastys' and are not good for your environment. They will chew through anything. Spend the money now and be rid of them with constant vigilance and the rat man returning regularly.

Is your coop raised high enough off the ground? Also, are there any bits of food left around at the end of each day? Both of these things would probably encourage rats.
