Hi all i am wanting to cut the corner of my lawn away and hav a raised rockery when i cut the turf will i be able to place it upside down in the corner? i.e will the grass die away? cheers neil

Loam is basically nice garden soil.

Just leave it in a pile for a year or two in a corner and you should have lovely soil to be reused wherever you want  :)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

oh i see so will i not be able to over turn it put some top soil over it and plant straight away?

Yes you can do that but if you are planting up at the same time incorporate some nitrogen fertilizer as you plant. The de-composing process will take up nitrogen from the soil so you should replace it.
