I have a bit of an accident with the lleks I sowed in March.  They were not offending anyone but OH thought she would help hoeing.  They are no more and it is my fault for not clearly labelling things but sticking twigs as markers at either end of a seed row. Anyway is it too late to sow another couple of rows of leeks?

If you're leek seeds are long standing over winter ones they will be fine to sow now. Even early varieties will be OK to sow but may not fully mature before they should be harvested. IMO nothing ventured nothing gained.

Sowed mine yesterday. Just make sure that you keep them well fed and watered once they emerge so they do some catching up.

When you come to planting them out it is better to wait until they get to the required pencil thickness, even if you are a little late, than planting them too skinny. The skinny ones always seem to suffer the transplanting and never really catch up.

Chum on next plot is sowing his this week - don't see a problem with this.

Also, if you do a lot, I have to say that there's not a lot of difference between leeks and spring onions at some stages of the year, they taste very similar...
