We were scratching around on the plot yesterday in view of the potential frost last night, and I thought of a novell idea.   I was due to pick some rhubarb, so I chopped the large leaves off, as I normally do before taking the stalks home, and used these to cover to newly emerging potatoe leaves - perfick!    I weighed them down with some dry clods of soil.

Brill! But make sure they come off again....doubt if the shoots can get through to the light!
