flitwickone - how many plants do you have to get 12 kilo of strawbs please?

My patch of strawbs got neglected last year, weeds took over and slugs had a feast, Not this year though.

hi my patch is roughly 18 feet by 15 and has two very very narrow strips   where you can get across the rest is a mass of strawberry plants
last year was a briliant year for my crop however its been nigh on impossible to weed it

so what ever crop i get this year i will  have to move the plants in the autumn lock stock and barrel to where the onions are this year but i will use regimental lines and they will be in well rotted manure also i will pot the runners and keep them in the cold frame over winter to fatten them up, all i do is give them a good feed of tomato feed once in early spring and once in the autumn and thats it and oh yes they are covered with netting so slugs and birds dont get them

I had two dozen plants last year and at their peak i was getting 2 kilos of fruit every other day.
Must start stocking up with jam sugar!
