I want to buy a / some chicken books - I feel woefully underinformed in all things chicken.

Can any of you recommend some good reading?

the haynes manual is supposed to be very good

I have the Haynes chicken manual and it is very useful, I bought it before I got my chooks and I nearly chickened out of getting chickens as it shows so many things that can go wrong but eventually I got some girls anyway. 
Nothing compares to actually owning your own chooks as it is a steep learning curve, but well worth it.
Read up, read some more and then go for it.

I have 2 girls - have had them for very nearly a month now (they were my Mothers Day present!) but I feel like I want more information to hand, and google isn always that helpful is it - tooooo much information!
