I didn't realise that they would look so similar!

Is there a handy way to tell the seedlings apart?

Lack of labels happens to us all mind.

I usually rely on my superb memory but it seems to have let me down on this one occasion

I can tell the difference once they are more than an inch high, but I couldn`t describe them or take a photo as I have none in front of me at the moment, so I can`t help I`m afraid.

O.K I`ll have a go. Cauliflower seedlings tend to have narrower oval shape leaves with a more pronounced fold along the main vein whereas calabrese leaves tend to be flatter and more rectangular. Emphasis here has to be on the word "tend" and the differences become more pronounced as the plants grow.

Pop into your local garden centre and have a look at the plug plants there to compare.

you had the same problem as me 

i labelled all cauli and when they appeared i forgot which were brocolli  :blink: so i sowed some more brocolli  . only downside is i'll end up with more brocolli than cauli  :happy:
