EGG COLOUR

hi all. i have 4 cooper blacks one or too fo them have been laying for 2 weeks. the eggs have been nice dark brown as i am told thay supposed to be. but the last two days 1 of the 2 eggs that are being lad have been white or magnolia any advice. thanks stan

the egg colour can vary a lot when they first start laying it should settle down in time  :)
Staffies are softer than you think.

HI, as copper blacks are a hybrid, you aren't guaranteed a dark brown egg as you would with a pure bred copper black Marans.

Alos, the dark brown colour is a bit like spray paint, it isn't part of the shell, and you will find that over the course of the laying season the colour of the shell varies (sometimes quite considerably) :)
