Unusual Egg
« on: April 10, 2011, 19:01 »
Today one of my marans layed an unusual egg.

It is about 3 inches long and perfectly oval, like a normal egg that's been stretched out.

Is this rare? How often does it happen? Could it be a sign of health problems in the chicken?

lol Was the first time i thought to weigh the them! Normally the eggs they lay are 2oz, this was 3oz. Only an ounce difference but it looked like a giant next to the other eggs  :D
