« on: August 23, 2007, 23:59 »
Old geezer up the lottie told me to get this mix of stuff and mix it in the soil.He gets three times the growth when using it than without.

He had planted some stuff, beets and onions etc some with some without and sure enough the ones WITH were huge.

Hoof and horn, potash, and another I cant remember,. can anyone fill me in here? Or was the geezer filling me full of it

Hoof and horn is organic.  The others aren't if that matters to you - your choice of course.  :D

its a general feeder only .manure is the basis of all gardening  as it adds nutrients and humus( fibre)  which makes the sloil more easy to work .the extra is a top up on soil that i feed in the second year after manuring .note in the brassica's i also feed  sulphate of ammonia as a booster to make them grow faster and much much bigger. spring cabbage on right near shed ,measure a yard across

My sigs out the window as soon as I get some,WG, looking at how big the veg get on it compared to without, its a no-brainer. Found out there is a bloke sells from a shed locally on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
