Ah I see.  I always keep a close eye on them so I should spot very quickly if she looks unwell. The medicine should arrive tomorrow so if there's any further blooming poos or if she looks off colour I can administer it then

The girls both look absolutely fine now but I think I may have been barking up the wrong tree and was worrying about the wrong hen. I think it's my other one as she's not laid an egg since the blooming mess incident. She seems fine in all other respects though

I think they have both given up the egg laying now so I either invest in new layers or just get them from the shops.  Sigh

I really don't want to have to buy eggs from the shop as they're old before they even get to the shops unlike our lovely fresh ones. Nothing quite like a poached fresh egg is there
