My new boys.
« on: May 06, 2011, 20:31 »
Just when I thought that life couldnt get any better, we bought 2 pygmy goats. They are just over 3 months old now, we have had them just over a fortnight. We have called them Toby and Billy. Toby is very friendly indeed, loves being picked up and cuddled, whereas Billy who is his brother is a little more reserved, so has to be caught to be picked up. However, once in my arms, he is a super softie and yesterday I swear he fell asleep! Next week, they will be going to the vets to be done so that should be an experience. Today, we took them up to our top field on their leads so that they could sample some different bushes and grass.
I had always wanted a goat since we moved to France 6 years ago, so finally my dream has come true, with 2 new little lads. Only trouble is, I thought chicken were timewasters, they are nothing compared to goats!!

Lovely boys! :D They look inquisitive, so I'm sure you'll get plenty more great pics! :)

You wont regret it for a minute Honeysuckle. I just never realised that goats could be loving creatures, but when I pick mine up for a cuddle, they really seem to cuddle me back.Just dont expect to do any housework, cooking, DIY or anything like that for ages. You wont be able to leave them alone!
