My tom's

I am growing some plum tomatoes out side in my allotment, they are looking very large but very green and I have stopped them after 3 to 4 trusses.
Will they never turn red?
I have taken some leaves off to help them get more sun, I water them every day.
Will feeding them help them on there way.
They are very large, some as big as my fist, never seen so large a tom as this.
Reg.

Give them a chance, we're only just into August! Keep feeding them - it can't do any harm :)

I grow alot of tomatoes of various types. What will happen is that over the next few weeks (hopefully) bit by bit the tomato will start to ripen. I usually take them off the plant nearly but not quite ripe and then let them fully ripen at home. My tomatoes here in Milton Keynes are just beginning to ripen but only the early ones like Black Russian Prince and some of the Lilliputs, the rest are still very green. The whole lot should be in full swing by the end of August I would think
