Hi everyone,

Would it be ok to start parsnips in homemade paper pots now? then transplant whole thing to the plot?

You could do; you'd need to make sure they didn't hang around too long as the tap root develops quickly.  And when you plant the pots out, make sure that the paper doesn't stick above the soil level or it will wick water out of the ground.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Mine were pre-germinated and planted into kitchen roll tubes about 2 weeks ago.

Every one of them has now popped their heads up and going great guns.  Even if we get a cold snap, it won't do them any harm, so plant on say I....
