Back to onions, are there any varieties I can start as seeds now or is it a bit late?  My sets were successful last year but I'd rather try from seeds if this is possible?

These are all part on my box and would still go with sweet Spanish yellow too

You can sow onions now either in modules or direct into the ground.

The later you sow them the smaller they will be until you just have pickling size.

Once you get into April my opinion is that you would be better growing from sets.

Nice one Rangerskris and Salmo.  I've just popped some White Lisbon and some Bedfordshire Champion in trays and I'm gonna hope for the best..
