well i always blast my tools off under a running tap dry and then wrap with an old oily tea towel . ur peppers should be fine i have never had anything bother them except chafers

not seen any of those this year touch wood but we do have the most ugly looking bug here , dont know if they are in any other country ,we call them land lobsters .at the front they have pincers like lobster with the head too and then they have digging fin things like a mole , a bit of a body and the back looks like a cocky , they are brown and grow qiute big and move like greased lightning(hubbys favourits karioki song) you dont often see them as they live under ground but roses and toms are their favourite food its like 3 bugs supa glued together.
