I Grow Northern Extra Sweet, But have had as good results with Swift.

I pre chit as already said, then into root trainers. when i come to put them in the plot i put a 2litre empty pop bottle over them for a week (top off) just to help them settle in. Like i said a drink of my comfrey tea once a week. 50cm apart in blocks and i aid pollination by hand.

Wonderfull stuff my favourite crop.
I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

As i walk past I let the top of the plant run through my hands and touch the tassles on the next plant, nothing scientific about my method. Its not a job on my to do list just something i do occasionally as i walk by.

Now let's get the terminology right.

You run your hands through the tassles on the top of the plant, then the silks on another.

(Won't matter if you did it on the same plant)
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

the second batch will be planted upwind of the first.

Yes, very droll!  :tongue2:

(I actually find I have very little control over wind of any description!)

Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older
