Am worried about little Gracie
« on: February 28, 2011, 15:26 »
I noticed this morning that Grace kept scraping her beak so have been keeping an eye on her (thank goodness I'm on holiday).  She stopped doing this but started shaking her head and is opening and closing her beak slightly.  She also lets out a loud cluck every so often.  Thought Gape Worm, so have started worming today.  I have been putting this off as they were going through a moult.  Other than the above she is eating and drinking normally, eyes and nostrils are clear.  What do you think? Should I double the dose?

I have just been out and did the wing test and she isn't any warmer than the other girls. Still don't know whether to double the dose tomorrow.  Used sweet corn this morning (sorry Hillfooter) because I decided it was an emergency and wanted to make sure she took a good amount of Flubenvet.  Dont think I will have much sleep tonight.  :(

Hi
I'm no expert but did you look in her beak to make sure she didn't have anything stuck across it. It sounds like she could have been trying to remove something that was irritating her.  :)
