My onions and leeks were started off in a heated greenhouse until they had germinated. I then moved them to a cold frame and they are all doing fine. They are in half size ice cream tubs with plenty of root space. I sowed  them quite thin and I am wondering if they need transplanting into single cells, or will they be ok until planting out? The little plants are are about 1in. apart.

I sow my leeks like that in cat litter trays, (1" apart), they remain like that until planting out time.

Fiddly fiddly job i have potted some on so far 48 seed onions will see how they go in the greenhouse for a while and my leeks are in a cat litter tray sown thinly i think brought them into the house to get them started and will see from there i guess  its all trial and error with some/lots of knowledge from here

I have put the seedlings into the grow house now. Very little heat in there just frost proof, and they look really good now, aprox 4 inch i reckon. Still look dry on the tips though. Fingers crossed
