I noticed some very large, dried up bean pods hanging over our garden wall from our neighbour's back garden and helped myself to them.  I salvaged four beans, that my mother-in-law says are scarlet runners.  Can I plant them in loo rolls on the window sill now?  Does it need to be a sunny one?

It's much too early, cos you won't be able to plant them out until may, at the earliest!
