good:  greens- not rotten or mouldy - the hens will decide on their favourites.
fruit, but not citrus.  eg.  grapes, tomatos, apple, banana etc.
some love salmon, prawns etc.

Bad:  advocado, and I wouldn't give them chicken -  its kinda like canaballism.

Hope this helped, someone else will be along soon to say what else!

Nothing from the onion family including fennel...The also won't eat mushrooms, they'll not touch them. They will eat avocado but it's not good for them.

As suggested lots of greens, baked or boiled potato peelings (no green skins). They will eat most root veg as long as it's cooked. Raw courgettes, marrow, pumpkin etc. I bake butternut squash, they seem to prefer it that way.
Mine used o turn their noses up at red peppers but have recently decided they think it's yum.

I tend not to offer meat but if you have a hen that's had a heavy moult a tin of tuna (spring water) or a tin of cat food gives a nice protein boost.
I particularly do not offer chicken...it just feels wrong.

If they free range they may catch the occasional mouse or frog.... that's fine.

I think it's basically down to being sensible so I wouldn't offer curry but I would offer boiled rice and pasta.

Keep all extras as a treat. Their layers pellets should be the main part of their diet.

God luck.
