Yes that's as graphic as it comes and Mareks disease is a very serious condition which is difficult to eradicate from the soil.

The best of luck though.  If you PM grumpydad I'm sure he would advise you of the problems and solutions he tried.  It's not an easy condition to deal with.  A long rest maybe advisable.  I hope your original supplier has now ceased breeding and is taking the appropriate precautions against this.

Hi, I have just watched the video of a chicken with Mareks and now I know what was ailing one of my chucks. I had to put her down 2 weeks ago. I now think a second one is going the same way. I have a photo of one of the eggs laid by this chook.

I will post the same piccy to see if anyone has seen an egg like it from a diseased bird.

I have seen knobbly eggs before in boxes of eggs, but not that knobbly.

My hens who are carriers of Mareks produce beautiful smooth eggs. Will take a picture and add later ......as soon as Philys or Dillys lays this afternoon.
