got myself a vsb door opener, just the basic open and close model, its all fitted and the instructions say ajust for how light it is, can anyone tell me what postions they have the switch to this time of year so i dont have to fiddle around with it at dusk. My chickens already put thereselfs away a good hour before dark, but i want to make sure its all set up correctly

you need to find somebody else in the east as those in the west will have daylight slightly later than you (I know sunrise here in Lincolnshire was about 20 mins earlier that Nottinghamshire - surprising really for such a small country like ours  ).

I think you will still need to fiddle with it to get it just right. You will need to check it tonight anyhow, leave it on a setting to stay open then go out and  adjust it to  close 15 mins after their normal bedtime.

was in the area just before sun down, chickens were all in, 20 mins later, down comes the door. no ajustment needed yet, will keep mointoring it.
