Thanks for the tip off re: seeds.

My Homebase sell torn bags of potting compost at a reduced price, and they are one of the few stores where you still get the reduced price AND the multisave reduction.

That means if damaged £4 bags that are 3 for £10 are being sold for £2 each, you will be charged ONLY £4 FOR 3 BAGS (£6 [3x£2] less the £2 multibuy saving =£4).

I particularly regret Tesco/Sainsburys, etc., sorting out their software, and preventing us from finding loads of BOGOF products reduced below half price, which meant that after getting the FULL PRICE credited back for every other purchase, they were actually paying us to take them away; sometimes we had to put some champagne/spirits into a trolley load of reduced food to avoid them owing us money at the checkout! Those were the days!

over here in Greece we dont get bargins like that potting compost is a little pricy but koupria which is manure and stuff (goats) is 1 evro a bag so not bad there , no such thing as getting one free it can be buy one and get the second at twice the price, there dosent seem to be the concept of a bargin here not like we know it anyway.

lts well worth it, all the racks where full up and the guy said they had loads out the back still to and that they wherent realy selling

It's 10% day off at my local homebase tomorrow, so I might see what's left to spend my reward coupons on.
