can you over pick rhubarb? are there guides and rules for picking it?

I usually leave a few sticks on each clump. I think you're supposed to stop pulling it around now as well.

I stop pulling it in September but I don't force the rhubarb I get let it grow at it's own pace.

I decided to taste the first jar of rhubarb and ginger and chilli preserve.

Delicious - there's a real but not overwhelming chilli kick. I shall be doing it again.
