chillis are something ive been growing for around 5 years now. ive grown most types or most commen types i should say  :tongue2:

peppers and chillis are my strong point when it comes to growing things. ive even spend 3 years cross polinating to get a stable type of chilli. its a cyanne but a huge one. it has the same kick as small ones but around 6 times as big

Overwintering my chillis is something I'm interested in trying this year, so that advice is really helpful to me too, so thanks for that. I just have one question - in the springtime, should I repot before or after they start growing?

personally. i repot at the first sign of growth (shoots) then at least you know there growing and alive lol. if your keeping them indoors over winter keep them there untill there aint going to be a frost. and then its safe to put them out. even then i like to keep them under a coldframe of some sort just incase of very late frosts.

i sow my seeds in single cell trys in feb keep them under lights untill i feel there aint going to be a frost think it was the endish of april when i put mine out

I've got a coldframe and an unheated greenhouse, and I tend to keep them in that greenhouse all through the summer so they've got optimal conditions, but I'll bring them into the house over the winter. This year I started off my chilli seedlings in Feb, as I always do, but I had them on a windowsill (double-glazed window) and even that was too cold for them in that cold spring we had this year, so I lost the lot and had to start again from scratch.

Yes it is a good piece on chillis and also a direct copy/paste from this site:

http://www.thechilliking.com/growing/over-wintering/

drmoonshine - do you have permission to use the material in this way, or is it your own original work?  If it is, then all well and good, please mention this and give yourself credit, if not, please do not copy such large pieces of someone else's work. A link is more appropriate in that case.

If it is the latter, the post will be replaced with a link.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
