Ooooo I didn't know about this either....Could this explain what my pic below was ?

It was something that one of our last lot of chickens produced, days before the fox got them. They were approx 2.5 yrs old warrens.

I would describe it as fairly firm, if anything it was like a cooked piece of chicken texture-wise. About 8 cm long.

I would say that the item in the photo was a lash, they come in differing shapes and sizes. The one I had was shaped like an elongated egg and very firm. I will see if I still have the photos of it before and after chopping in half.
Staffies are softer than you think.
