:?: Hi everyone I am new to this site and to the growing of Rhubarb.
I would like some help please. I planted some rhubarb earlier this year. All the information I have tells my not to harvest any for the first year but nothing about the growth this year,now the leaves are turning brown. What should I do now.  regards vegiman

Hi vegiman and welcome.  Not really a rhubarb expert but mainly wanted to say Hi.   I'd say that this year's growth will put strength back into the crown for next year so should be allowed to die back on the plant.

I've replanted my rhubarb this year to regenerate it.  But it is growing so well that I've pulled a few storks.

Rhubarb is a hungry feedr and needs a good mulch - you know the old joke I'm sure.  "I put loads of manure on my rhubard...  Oh I put custard on mine."

The leaves of rhubarb will brown as the older stems die off this is quite natural.  They can then be removed stop them harbouring snails.  
Rhubarb is very easy to grow.  Plenty of water, a good mulch or compost or rotted manure.  Keep a look out for blackfly under the leaves, and get a bit tub of custard powder
