as most know its my first year and my main crop is ready can i do it when the soil is this wet   :blink:  as i need to let em dry for a few hours

you can - it'll be hard work though. The important thing is to get most of the mud off and lay them out to dry - just gives the skin a chance to slightly harden - gives a protective layer when storing them. Don't store wet spuds, or you'll get mould and all sorts of probs!
I'll be getting my main crop up this weekend.........oooh my aching back!!!

As Plumb Crumble says it will be hard work and very messy as the mud will cling to every thing,  Its best to wait for a dry day
