DIY (well sort of!) Wormery

My friend has just bought round a junior wormery that she 'rescued' from her neighbours skip ( Isn't it good to have skip diving friends!) It has got bits missing, I have the lid, so I am going to have to improvise before I get some worms, so has anyone got any suggestions or know how many compartments I need to have in it? Thanks!
