I came back from a one-week holiday to find my tomatoes looking lovely and starting to ripen nicely. Clang, then it rained for a week. I went into then garden yesterday to find the cherry tomatoes are kind of splitting as are some of the normal ones (some with insect intruders) and some of the green ones bearing those ominous brown rings or patches.

What to do? Pick them and try to ripen them in boxes, hoping they don't perish, leave them in the hope they ripen before going rotten, or dump them? Make them into soup, sauces?

Pick the split ones quickly before they start to go mouldy and if you haven't got something  cooking that they can go in, then freeze them for a winter casserole or 2

green tomato chutney for the others?

My Toms have been dying for a fortnight or so but the fruit on them are still ripening..any with bottom end rot are not thrown away as the rot is easily cut out & the rest eaten..so I say don't give up until there's absolutely no life left in the plants .. & get them out of the wet.
