A lettuce Gift
« on: August 03, 2010, 18:38 »
Well what a strange day, as some may know we got our first ever allotment on Saturday, had it rotavated twice, hoed and raked etc over the last few days. Went to the plot after work and a kind neighbour had planted some lettuce for us from there plot.... how kind...does not look so bare now. :D

I would move this topic to "Growing Someone Else's Own", but "GYO" will have to do!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Some lovely people on sites around the country. Makes up for the (very) few horror stories
"I think the carrot infinitely more fascinating than the geranium. The carrot has mystery. Flowers are essentially tarts. Prostitutes for the bees. There is, you'll agree, a certain je ne sais quoi oh so very special about a firm young carrot" Withnail and I
