Hi, can anyone tell me at what age it is safe to give Flubenvet?  Thanks.

Sorry to be persistent, but - please, is there anyone who knows if it is safe to give Flubenvet to chicks (6-weeks old now) as the instruction leaflet says nothing about it and we have had no replies yet,  thanks.

have just trawled the Janssen literature and chickens can be wormed at 5 weeks old. see section 11

Why do you need to worm the so young Frothgar ? 

Are they on ground that has been used by poultry for many years ?

No, fresh ground, but I was under the impression that they should be regularly wormed... Should I be waiting until they show signs of already having worms?

If it's fresh ground that's not had chickens on before I wouldn't worm them yet.  You can probably leave it until they are 6 months old and then worm them every 6 months.

Unlike cats and dogs, chickens aren't born with a worm burden, so it is not necessary to worm in the the first few weeks
