Elephant Garlic question
« on: July 04, 2007, 19:19 »
I'm growing this for the first time, but I'm unsure when to dig it up. It did seem to take a while to get going, maybe due to the mild autumn/winter?

I've read that it should be ready in july, but are there any signs I should be looking for that it's ready to pull up? Is it worth giving it a bit longer, or do I just go for it? I've only got the one this year I was given, so don't want to lose it or get very small cloves by pulling too early.
