We have loads of raspberries in one of our fruit cages which are smothered by wasps .

The raspberries really need to be picked, so my questions are..... What's the best time of day to pick the raspberries? Is there a time when there aren't so many wasps around? Like early in the morning or late evening?

There are normally fewer waspies about in the morning before it warms up but the rasps taste better picked in the evening after the sun has been on them all day.
Beware of the sneaky wasps that sleep amongst the berries so they can sting you early.
They have got me like that once or twice.

A cold, wet, rainy day is your best bet , good thick clothes, gloves and face protection is another.
