We purchased a speckeldy point of lay hen yesterday and watching her on the lawn this morning she was high stepping.
Do hens high step or have i got a cockerel?
Her (?) comb and wattle are hen like but i still have my doubts.

Just an idea, where you got them from were they free ranging,   i only ask as when i got my speckledy and amberstar a few mths back they came from being kept inside to suddenly out on the grass and they really high stepped for a couple of days until they were used to walking on the grass     nickyx

I will see if i can find batteries for the camera  but i hope i have it sussed , she only appears to do it on grass and not hard surfaces. Perhaps a new sensation underfoot.
