I was tidying up the shed today and found about 3 dozen onion sets from spring that we'd forgotten to plant. I guess it's too late to plant them now but will they keep until next year?

I wouldn't; they will be the best part of 2 years old when you plant them and will be in pretty poor condition by then I would have thought!

but if planted close together you'd get some greens to use as spring onions before you compost...we're still palnting shallot sets every few weeks...
