mine are surprisingly fly free. No problems at all. Phew  :D  I did get a frog in there the other day. I jumped out my skin when it hopped out onto my sandalled foot

     Don't talk to me about frogs we have a few in our garden and they keep jumping out on me. I am sure they sit on the side and say amongst themselves " look out here she comes lets frighten her"  and they do every time

We have our poo and soiled hempcore in lidded darlek bins, (currently growing the most amazing roadstood/mushrooms)  I put it all in there rather than on the compost heap because of smells, flies, etc.  End of year it will go into the garden compost heap, get mixed up with everything else, and come spring, Yipee!  lovely, moist, crumbly, nutricious compost and just when you need it most.

Definitely wouldn't put it on plants fresh as it's far too acidic, too smelly and generally too yucky.

All good things come to those who wait :D
