How comes our british radish varieties,tasty as they are are so quick to bolt and go woody?
Whereas the lidl  german variety i buy can get to a lot bigger and still be perfectly edible.
They are not as hot and peppery as normal radish but are great in a sarnie or a salad as you can slice them,highly recommended.

I used the Lidle radish seeds and we now have a giant radish and they are so much hotter than the english ones.

Llidl, netto, Aldi etc seeds at 19p/29p pkt, consistantly good germination, what great value and most of the basics covered.
Hope that radish is wet Ma or have you been polishing?

I grew them two years ago but gave most of the seed away as they were a tad too hot for me.
The odd one was approaching chilli hot.
Good seed and they grew large, more of a purple colour than red.
If you like hot, worth a try.
