one of my girls has layed twice in the run. I think shes only just started laying. Will she learn to lay in the box or is there something i should do. Thanks

Katie, try putting a pot or rubber or plastic egg in their nest box just to give them an idea where to lay. If you don't have one of these (they can be bought in pet shops) then a golf ball will surfice

One of my hens started laying in the run - found them just on the floor.  I think she laid about 3 times before she suddenly laid in the nest box without any help from us

i had a pot egg in the box for weeks. I took it out and the day after we got an egg. She has layed in the box once so she does know where it is. Will see when i get home today where shes layed. Maybe put the pot egg back in until she gets the hang of it.
