I have a hen that opens her mouth as if shes yawning but no sound comes out, the others dont do it any ideas ?

She could be gaping?  Has she been wormed recently?  If not, perhaps you should try worming them with Flubenvet as it will kill gape worms if that is what it is.  Someone else will come along with some other ideas I hope but that is my thoughts.

I have a mute hen  she does the same every now and then I get a noise but I think she is just mute. People tell me she will find her voice but I doubt it now
