[Dawn in the North]

Hi,

One of my elephant garlic has started to grow a spike from the middle, I presume this is going to turn into a flower.

Should I let it grow and turn into a flower or should I nip it off so as to direct all the growing power into the garlic bulb?

It is a scape (and is edible).   Nip it out below the flowerhead.
