hi
my earlies are all flowering now, but the pots are very small.
how much longer should i leave them in the ground as i was going to use the bed for runner beans?? any ideas???

what type of earlies are you growing, i would say let the flowers die off before you consider digging them up.  :D

You're pushing it to follow spuds with runner beans.

More suited to later crops like leeks & spring cabbage.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Today I put some celery plants in the old wheelbarrow previously occupied by first earlies but the tatties on the plot will be followed by leeks. You might get away with runners if you've got them already growing in pots somewhere.
