we've been having some fab meals from our spinach patch, each time picking out all the largest leaves but we seem to have tight heads in the middle of each plant now.  are oure spinach days over for this year ????

If it's annual spinach then yes; it produces leaves and then tries to flower and set seed and that's it!

Perpetual spinach (spinach beet) is a biennual and will crop for considerably longer, although it doesn't taste quite the same (still good though!)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

One of the best things about being an orang-utan is the fact that you don't lose your good looks as you get older
