Hello, me again - once more seeking advice!
I went to check my broody this morning and there was another broken egg.  Bit gutted really as it was a Maran egg and I just love them.  Am now down to just the three eggs from an original six - I am being philosophical about things - what will be will be, etc.
Is this just clumsiness due to being a first time broody or just one those things?  I appreciate there is probably nothing I can do to prevent this happening or is there?
Guess I'm just looking for a bit of reassurance.

It's probably just clumsiness.

My broody squashed 4 of the 7 eggs she was sitting on (including 1 with a fully formed chick nside it :()

probably is clumsiness however it could have been thin weak shells, something to watch out for with any future hatchings  :)
Staffies are softer than you think.

Thanks guys.  I was a bit worried about one of the three eggs that have ended up squashed as the shell quality didn't seem quite right.  The other two seemed okay though so I guess I will have to put it down to Imelda being a klutz, bless her!

Hi Jeanette, my girls do get oystershell but don't worry about mentioning it as someone new to the forum may read your advice and may not have realised before.  I know I lurked around these pages for ages before getting my girls and the advice I found has been invaluable  :)
