i know i cant exactly bring them inside and i probably am being over protective but are the chickens ok when its thundering. Do i need to lock them in the coop or anything?

Although i`ve never watched the hens in a thunderstorm i have watched them on Nov 5th when a lot of fireworks are going off and the bangs and flashes do not bother them.

Mine are quite happy to stand out and get wet.  If it gets too much they just go hide under a tree or bush.
