Hi I'm Nicky and have just discoverd I like growing veggies the only problem is i have run out of room on my veggie patch. I have had some things grown in pots  potatoes, garlic, courgettes and tomatoes.Does any one know if you can grow brussels or brocollie in pots?

Can't see any reason why not nicky, providing the pots are deep enough, and you keep them well watered :)

i have cabbages that seem to be very happy in 2 litre bottles!  they're doing better that they did in the ground last year!!  last year was a first attempt tho...

i have radishes in pots - well did - the first pot i've eaten and the second sowing isn't quite ready yet

the beetroot doesn't seem to like it tho - hasn't grown really at all

but my sugar snaps are going great guns!

I would assume that certain brassicas would blow (like sprouts) in pots, I could be wrong, I do know we have a very sandy soil so when preparing our my sprout bed I trample for several weeks to get it rock hard, I have read that if the ground is soft they wont produce solid sprouts. other stuff is happy in pots Parmex carrots, peas, beans (drawf), raddish, lettuce, loads of stuff in fact. Experiment, not a lot lose.
