I have tons of new growth on my gooseberry bushes and I'm just wondering if it will be okay to take cuttings now,with soft growth, or should I wait for the growth to become a little more woody? Many thanks

Woody growth. October time is ideal.

Or heel in a branch in a pot of compost and let it take root then snip at the back end.
