Is it possible to put hay under strawberrys instead of straw as i have not get any straw at the moment. :unsure:

Not a good idea....it can cause alot of problems. You use straw to provide a dry mulch so the strawbs don't sit on the earth. Hay rots really quickly and goes slimy which can lead to rotting fruit, infections and SLUGS.
And get heat treated straw if you can. Last year I was pulling wheat plants out of the bed!!!!! Must've been some fertile seed in the chickens' bedding straw.....
